A seven-hour afternoon and evening desert journey by 4×4 Jeep, beginning around 2:30 PM and finishing around 10:00 PM depending on hotel location and season. The programme combines off-road driving, a Bedouin village, camel riding, sunset from a mountain viewpoint, dinner, guided astronomy and telescope observation away from city lights.

Programme

  • Pickup and 4×4 desert adventure — Pickup is normally around 2:30 PM. Travel by 4×4 Jeep through the desert hills toward the remote Bedouin area.
  • Bedouin village introduction — Meet the local guide, learn about Bedouin traditions and desert life and take time for photographs in the desert setting.
  • Camel ride and Bedouin tea — Enjoy a short camel ride, then relax inside the Bedouin tent with traditional tea.
  • Mountain sunset viewpoint — Reach a higher viewpoint to watch the desert sunset and see the colours change across the mountains.
  • Dinner and astronomy session — Return to the camp for a Bedouin dinner, followed by an accessible explanation of stars, planets and constellations.
  • Professional telescope observation — Use the provided telescopes to observe visible planets and distant stars, subject to weather and sky conditions.
  • Return to the hotel — Travel back by Jeep and arrive at the hotel at approximately 10:00 PM, depending on the route and hotel zone.
